How much caffeine does Hot Chocolate have?..as much as coffee..soda??

The link below has a run down on caffeine in drinks, remember this site is trying to sell Hershey's chocolate.

The government has restrictions on caffeine free, or "organic" foods and these do not have to be truly "free" ie free of caffeine, or organic  for them to advertise  it is organic, or caffeine free.

Just have to fall under the government guidelines....

It is a buyers beware, other words we as consumers have to do are homework like you are doing!

Chocolate can have MORE caffeine than coffee - it depends on the chocolate and the coffee (the more you roast the coffee beans, the less caffeine it has) .... also depends on the soda.  I.e.:  Mountain Dew & Jolt would have more caffeine than chocolate or coffee

I could be wrong but i don't believe Hot Chocolate has as much caffeine as Soda or Coffee.

According to Wikipedia,

"Compared to coffee, hot chocolate only has minimal amounts of caffeine—a typical eight ounce cup of hot chocolate contains nine milligrams of caffeine, while and eight ounce cup of coffee may contain up to 133 milligrams depending on the brand."

It also says that 2 cups of regular coffee= same amount of caffeine as 2 liters of coke, three cups of red bull, five cups of Mountain Dew, and a pound and a half of milk chocolates.

Keep in mind that chocolate has other stuff in it besides caffeine, like theobromine, which can also speed up your heart a bit.  How much of this you're getting in your hot chocolate depends significantly on what kind of hot chocolate you're drinking, though.  Some of the cheap stuff in stores, like Swiss Miss, is pretty far processed from chocolate, and I wouldn't think it would have much in the way of anything in it besides sugar.
