  1. Well first you have to figure out how many calories you need to take in for maintenance. And that depends on how often you're exercising a week. So lets say you work out 5 days a week, with your age, weight, and height your daily maintenance calories comes to about 3000 which means that's how much you need to consume a day to maintain your current weight. In theory then if you consume less calories then that and burn more then what you consume you should lose weight.
