How much can I expect for financial aid?

I finally turned 24 and I don't have to use my parents taxes anymore. But how much more can I expect to get from FA? I was used to getting 5,000 a semester with my parents taxes but what can I expect now? I really need about 10,000 a semester to finish off this last year as a senior in college.

Can I apply for Stafford Loans?

Yes, you can get Stafford loans.  The max amount you can borrow as a senior independent student is $10,500 a year.  

Some folks are disappointed to discover that not always does not reporting your parents income increase the Pell grant amount you might get.
