  1. It would probably depend where you sold it at and the quality of the gold.

  2. Depends on the purity:

    Todays gold price is $944.80 per ounce for pure gold which is 24K.

    For example:  If you have 24K, multiple $944.80 times 3.  If it's only 10K, then (10/24 x $944.80) x 3 ounces.
