I have a whole bin full of them, and I heard you can get money from them. I live in Florida, and I just want to know how much I can get for cans. Also, if anyone knows, what other recyclables can be turned in for cash.

  1. depending on what state you live in...it varies.  I know in CA you can get a pretty good amount for them...but in OK...around 6 big black bags...maybe $12-13.

  2. in hawaii you pay 6 cents per can, then you can get 5 cents redeemed per can plus 25 cents a pound.

  3. wow...we get 55cents a lb where I live, and i thought that was bad.  I live in southcentral missouri.  To add to green living...we go on the country roads and collect cans and trash.

  4. There are different ways to get money for cans.

Taking to recycle plant (yard) pays more. 30 cents a pound for cans normally!(AL engine blocks good money!)

Other matals are also good for cash. lead, steel, copper, zinc

    $$$$$$$$$$$

  5. Here in Quebec its 0.5cents for small one and 0.20 cents for the big one.

  6. For loose aluminum cans, about US 0.28 per pound.  Almost any primary metal has value as scrap, and prices have been good lately.  Check out the link for current prices.

  7. Depends on where you live. Call a recycler.

  8. Not much.  Here in Kentucky it used to be like a quarter per pound.  But I know that isn't an accurate measure due to inflation.

  9. read the can smarty
