The question should be how much do you need to make.  Then go and figure out how to make that as a massage therapist.

Jobs are few and far between so you will most likely have to create your own job or start your own business.

It is just like any other career - you have to make it happen for yourself rather than just thinking you are going to have a job where someone will do the work of finding clients for you.

A girl in my massage class is going to team up with my midwife. The massage will be included with the prenatal care. She should be making anywhere from $30-$50 an hour. We're in Utah, I have no idea about Oklahoma but you'll be better off teaming up with another prenatal specialist. Good luck!

If you are good at massage then you can always make good money.  I practice massage in Ireland and I have quite a few clients now.  It builds up slowly but when word of mouth get around that you are caring and make the clients feel at ease, then more and more people ask for a session.  I have started using an Australian oil called Elmore Oil on the clients.  This has proven to be very successful to both the clients and myself.  It helps with muscle pain and also with joint pain.  It is good on the muscles of the clients and also my finger joints.  I am able to massage for longer now without getting sore hands than I used to.  Clients have also said to me about the effects on them.  They think it's all down to me really as I don't tell them about the oil.  I have had a few pregnant woman come to me and as the oil is 100% natural, I have no worries about using it on them.  I think you should go with your heart on this one and start up that massage.  Good luck with it and if you need any encouragement just drop me an email.
