I am taking a part-time job at Red Lobster to help make ends meet. On average, I'll be working three shifts a week--either a Friday or Saturday night and then a double on Sunday. I was hoping someone out there had experience at either this restaurant or one similar in price (like Olive Garden) and could give me an idea of what to expect in tips.

  1. it depends on how well u take care of your customers. I work at a local resturant that gets only like 30 customers a night if were lucky. I do my best to make them happy and i usally come home with $20-$40 dollars IN TIP a night.

  2. It all depends.  If you do a good job and keep your customers happy you will get more of a tip.  Now if you are messing around and not paying any attention to your customers you will not get much of a tip if any.

For me most of the time I give between 15 to 20 percent of the bill.  Now if the person sucks and does not work at all they get nothing, if I am really mad about how they did their job they will get two cents.

  3. As much as $5
