  1. I see that Mental Health nurse is now on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) and this is an excellent indication of the extent of the shortage of workers in the profession. Whenever there's a severe shortage, wages tend to rise to attract the best applicants.

    http://content.mycareer.com.au/salary-ce... indicates that the average is around $65k with a maximum of $67.5k. This may not be completely accurate though as many jobs (usually the above award ones) are advertised as No Salary Specified and would not be included in the data.

    If you're thinking of emigrating, now would be a good time to apply. Skilled Worker visa applicants in MODL occupations receive fast track processing.
