  2. I am a DC, I make 6X what the payscale website says. I realize I might be on the high end, but I have made over 300k per year for the last 5 years.

  3. Well the deal is this.  If you look at statistics you will see that the DO will earn slightly less than an MD in general.  But you cannot really base it on that.  many Dos do the same as MDs.  So I would not even worry about money.  If you become a DO you will do just fine and have great job prospects.  Physical therapists have excellent job outlook and they make a very good salery but not what a Do does.  But in private practice and with good business and clinbical skills a PT can make a lot of money.  But even working for someone else they are well paid.  Now a chiropractor is the most difficult answer.  First of all when you get out of school it is harder to find a good job working for someone than a PT or a DO.  You can run the range of working for someone and making very little to finding a practice that treats you well and you do very well.  But in general not as well as a DO.  Now as a chiropractor if you open your own office and have excellent business  and clinical skills you can do extremely well.  But the field is overcrowded right now.  So it is harder to do well with a new practice early on than it was say 20 years ago.  BUt I will tell you that a properly managed and marketed chiropractic office can put most other providers to shame in terms of income if things go well.  The DC can see more patients in a day than any other provider.  If he or she does PT with manipulation and some other things they can bill large numbers of CPT codes in a day.  A large office seeing 70 patients a day at and average of say 80 dollars a peice would gross 5600 per day.  That is before x rays and such.  Of course you would have a staff.  But you should only go into chiropractic if you love it as any other field it should not be about money.  But be forewarned while chiropractic can make a lot of money if you are not self driven you will not.
