I skated when i was in 5th-6th grade but stopped. Now, a couple years later, im starting again. I dont remember how much things costed bcause my dad used to pay for my stuff, but now i have a job and i gotta pay for it. I have 130$ to spare. Is that good enough? Bare in mind i only want a decent skateboard, not an expensive, top quality one.

  1. i would say about 170$ but sometimes you can get cheap online.

  2. Alright well then the best thing to do is to go to your local shop and get one of there decks to skate because those are the exact same as any pro board the graphic is just different and they will only cost around 20 to 25 bucks plus like 1-2$ for grip unless they give it out for free. For trucks there I think one of the most expensive parts but im not sure how much they cost. Same for wheels and bearings they should be less then your trucks and hardware is like barely any money. You will definitely be fine with 130 bucks to spend. You will probably have money left over to buy like stickers for your board if you want them.

  3. 100-170 dollars for a decent board

  4. complete really depends on brand of board, wheels, trucks.

i got mine like 100-150 dollars

  5. A skateboard now can go around 120, so you should be in good shape.

  6. 130$ is a perfect amount it will get you a good skateboard with all the stuff you will need, you might even have enough to buy yourself a helmet! ( aren't i funny?)

A very good place to buy a skateboard is ccs.com  There you can build your very own complete customizing all the parts as you go. For the deck i would get a baker and kind is fine like for a width between 7.5 in. and 7.75 in. and length get like a 31 in. or a 32. in. I think this will be around 107$ (don't worry the rest of the parts are like 5 dollars and below because it is a complete)

For trucks you should go with thunder lows don't bother with the pro kind unless you want em but these are light, strong, and inexpensive.

For wheels you should get try bones wheels(look for streetburners if your into street, and parkburners if your into vert. Or you could try getting some nive stf wheels.) i would recommend anything under 54 mm in size.

Next part just skip the hardware packages and click on bearings.

Now they have some pretty good choices here a good inexpensive bearings would be bone reds. a good sort of expensive bearing would be bone swiss blacks or labrynths. And a good choice right inbetween would be the pig checks.

For grip i'd go with MOB or jesus  mob has tiny holes in the grip that lets air bubbles like pop or whatever. and Jesus just has pretty grippy grip.

For hardware just get shortys they have been a trusted hardware brand for years stick with the originals

  7. decent skateboards cost 100-140 and those skateboards are very good and they last for a while you could get them from some west 49 or a local skate shop dont get from wallmart or zellers or any stores like these they have $50 skateboards but the quality is very cheap.

  8. I think it depends the brand and the store/website. Mine was about $130. But I picked out each individual part. If you don't want a specific deck, wheels, trucks, bearings, and griptape then you could get and already made complete board for a little cheaper. But the only reason mine was $130 was because the place I got mine sold decks for $40 and at a lot of  places they start at about $70 or a little less. But you should't get a $30 board at places like target and walmart cause the quality is cheap. If you don't already know what store you're going to, you could try detroitcityskateboards.com(I don't know if you have a store by you, probably not) I got mine at their store and it is pretty good quality and a good price.

    Hope this helps

  9. go to ccs.com and pick all the components of your board. i did and it cost me about $130-$150  do not get a cheap board!

  10. 100 150 if you go to ccs.com and do complete builder youll get a pretty decent idea of how much a complete costs...

    GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPED
