How much can i get for an ad?

i'm trying to make a riddle site and i was wondering how much i can get for an ad.it can be about the size of this sites ads,but not much bigger.should it be a monthly charge,a ppc or an upfront fee?the first time i asked the question only got one good answer,so please help.

  1. well, you need to assess your traffic first.  to save yourself the frustration, avoid ppc strategies unless youre going thru google or yahoo.  a flat monthly fee is a good way to do it but anybody that will advertise with you needs analytic reports first.  if it is a newer site, and you lack the traffic via organic rankings, you will probably give the ad space away at first.  i have a site i sell listings on, and i charge $1500/yr but the site gets about 500 visitors a day.  you also need to present your media kit to any potential advertiser.  


  2. It's almost always based on how much traffic your site gets.  The more traffic the more you get paid for your ad space.

    You can however automate the process by having someone else manage your ads for you.
