How much can you make as a social service worker ?

If you're asking this question, then think about a different career.  Generally, social workers love to help people, they work long hours, have endless work loads.

I thought about being a social worker when I was in high school but someone told me that I wouldn't be able to leave the job at work.  I'm the type that would want to bring home every batter child, take a baseball bat to every husband that hit his wife and I'd be the one crying at my desk everyday.

To you have the passion to be a social worker?  Or, are you looking to make money?

not much.  Starting salary in mid 20's  mid-level in the mid 30's.  If you get into management you can make more,  but you will never get rich.

You don't make much money but the FEEL GOOD side of you will be satisfied very well. Burn out is 3-4 years. Have a back up plan for when the time comes.
