  1. Your DNA is your DNA, in other words, unless that swab goes anywhere besides your cheek and that little plastic bag  it's like 99.999% accurate.


  2. I think it's very reliable.  They are now detecting oral cancer with swabs.

  3. I guess it depends whose DNA you have in your mouth.  :D

    Seriously, it is very accurate.  DNA is collected at the physical level, in other words, any part of saliva that can be captured by hand will contain a complete strain of DNA.  It is just as reliable as blood, fluid, or tissue.

  4. i think it would be unreliable.  if you have the inside of your mouth swapped, then your DNA will not turn out, since it's not your mouth.  if you mean swabbing the inside of your mouth, then, yes, the test is reliable.  dna is in all body fluids, not just your blood.  the test, or swab, is reliable.

  6. I'd say about 95%.  Nothing is 100%, but you'll be hard-pressed to find something that doesn't have DNA on it in your mouth.
