How much cash do you get for recycling?

How much money do you get for recycling a pound of plastic bottles? soda cans(aluminum)? glass bottles? Also, in your answer, please state the source/website you got the information from.

go to www.earth911.org they can help you locate your local recycle center. Each center sets it's own rates, but I think they have to pay a rate equal to or greater than CRV. earth911 has contact info for recylers, usually phone numbers, some web links I found these rates at a recycle center in my area, NorCal.

Aluminum Cans  approx $1 per lb

Scrap Glass 2.25  to 4.50 ton

Mixed PET Scrap 0.07  0.22 lbs USD

Mixed HDPE Scrap 0.06  0.22 lbs

I went to the CA recycling center called Tri-CED

For plastic I got $0.92 per lb

Glass $0.11 per lb

Aluminum cans $1.57 per lb
