  1. Tim's right.

  2. Sonny,

I am going to answer this a little differently.  As others have answered you only need a little more than a 1/2 yard.  1 yard covers 81 sq ft at 4" and 54 sq ft at 8" and 27 sq ft at 12".

The delivery charge for a yard is much more than the concrete.  However if you purchase sacrete at Home Depot and place each sack dry in the area until it is complete and then remove those sacks and mix them with water and dump into the form it will save you quite a bit and it isn't terribly hard to mix that much manually.  You can mix it in a wheel barrow or in a 5 gallon pale.

Just don't take too long between batches.  A wheel barrow and hoe work good.

  3. .67 cubic yards.

    18 cubic feet.

  4. 1 yard of cement will do the job

  5. The answer is.....

    6ft x 6ft = 36 sq ft. x 1/2 ft thick =  18 cubic ft.

There are 27 cubic feet in 1 yard.

    18 / 27 =  .66666666666 cubic yards.

The dry mix option is a possibility... but take it from one who has done it more than once... those 80 pound bags of concrete get very heavy after a while.

    Whatever option you choose...GOOD LUCK!!!
