I love Hershey's special dark. I eat it a lot. How much is too much? Its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. I haven't gained any weight and I'm 14w1d along... so I'm not worried about weight gain, just caffeine and sugar.

  1. omg-

I have gained 11lbs my entire pregnancy.

All i eat is junk food and FRUIT...its all i crave...and chicken fingers and lasagna..oh an roast beef.

My last month appointment i went from 5lbs the whole pregnancy to 11..lol I guess i grew n a spurt...but I cant help to eat when im hungry i mean im not going to starve myself...plus my baby is healthy. and im not worrying about the baby weight after pregnancy. it all goes in time..

But im with you on the eating hersheys...

You probably shouldnt eat alot...but i cant help it.

Its so hard to control hunger for sweets right?

  2. Dark chocolate is much better for you than coffee, soda, or any other kind of chocolate (except maybe carob).  The only thing you want to worry about is that it is a lot of empty calories.  When you eat, you should eat things that will contribute to your daily servings.  It takes self-control, I know, but it's very worth it.  If after you get all your protein, veggies, fruit, dairy, and whole grains, you want some chocolate, eat all you want of it.

  3. There is no such thing as too much chocolate ....

Seriously, chocolate contains much less caffeine than coffee, so you'd have to eat a LOT of chocolate to get 'too much' caffeine.  I don't know how much you are eating, but if you want a daily treat, and you're eating healthily otherwise, enjoy your chocolate.

  4. well with my first pregnancy i would get cramps after eating chocolate. but i'm 36 weeks and 3 days with my second one i eat alot of sweets! specially chocolate!  and now i don't get any cramps.

  5. You can NEVER have too much chocolate!  When I'm upset about something, it's seriously the only thing that makes me feel better.  It's funny, because I never ate chocolate before I got pregnant, but now I have to have it all the time. :)

  6. Not sure about the scientific answer to this question, but I usually limit myself to as little caffeine as possible. The exception being yesterday when I had a crazy craving for Hershey's with Almonds and ate 3 bars!!!

  7. there isnt all that much caffine in chocolate so i wouldnt worry about that i would be more worried about the sugar but if u have a little each day you should be fine

  8. Chocolate has very little caffeine in it but you should limit it for the amount of sugar. But having a bite when you crave it (as long as it's not ALL the time) is fine.

  9. I love chocolate too. you're fine.

  10. I know I have not limited myself on chocolate, I have however gave up soda with caffeine I figure as long as I'm not having both I'm ok! hehe.

  11. go ahead and enjoy. =)

I would say as long as you're not eating 5 candy bars a day then that's good.
