  1. we always got what we needed, we didn't over buy, and we didn't underbuy. just enough to have a nice variety of clothing

  2. Three shorts, two jeans, and ten tops.

Bottoms can be worn often without people really noticing.

I wish I had more, but I have to pay for my own clothes lol.

  3. I handed down jeans from one daughter to the next but for the most part they both got new wardrobes. I can't imagine trying to get by on just 3 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. My girls get A LOT of clothes. They have tennis shoes, fashion boots in brown and black, ballet flats, flip flops, sandals, dress shoes, etc. They have knee high socks, tights and leggings on top of their regular socks. They also have anywhere from 20-40 shirts each~~that's long and short sleeved shirts. They have skirts, skorts, shorts and capris. They each have 2 drawers full of jeans too. I hang up their hoodies and dresses and matching outfits. They are very fashionable all year long and never wreck their clothing so it always looks new.

When I went to college a few yrs back, I bought myself a lot of clothing too, but also continued to add new pieces as I found them through-out the year, which I also do for my kids.

I know it may sound like a lot, but it's just right for us.

  4. I usually get my daughter a couple pairs of underwear, a windbreaker suit, couple pairs of jeans, and 3 or 4 shirts.

  5. They start out with 4 pairs of shoes (sneakers, sandals, dress shoes and a pair of their choice), 12 shirts, 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, 3 pairs of other type of pants - leggings, stretch pants, anything non - jean - 5 skirts, 3 dresses, 1 nice heavy duty coat, 2-3 sweatshirts/hoodies, the boys have two pairs of slacks for church, as well as 3 white shirts and to nice sweaters.

I have eight children; 5 of which are in school. School clothes shopping is very expensive for us. But we get hand -me -downs from my sisters and sister in law through out the school year! :)

  6. I attend a private school, and we have a dress code. Only plain, buttoned, collared polos and plain pants or shorts. They also allow plaids & stripes. My parents let us have about 5-8 shirts and maybe like 5-6 pairs of pants/shorts! Most of my clothes are hand-me downs from a friend, & my sisters get hand-me downs from me!

  7. I bought my daughter 2 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and 1 pair of shoes.

  8. I bought my child:

    7 tops

    3 sweaters

    6 pair of jeans

    1 pair of shoes

Whatever else she needs can be supplimented from her existing wardrobe or over the year. I only bought so much because she grew so much over the summer.

  9. Luckily, our school system requires uniforms.  My son is in the 2nd grade and growing.  2 pairs of shoes, 6 pairs of pants, 8 shirts, because he is still wearing some from last year.  He can't wear any of the pants from last year, because they all have HOLES in the knees!!!  I watch for sales and buy all year.

  10. it depends on how old the person is because younger kids grow faster
