How much commission/up charge do cruise ships charge for an excursion?

A friend is starting a tour and he is trying to find out how much commission they charge so he can appropriately price his tours. Anyone know?

Completely depends on the price the tour costs.  It's not a level up charge.  Some things are merely a shuttle service to a park and back and are really cheap.  Some require a lot of expense on the tour guide.

In general, a ship charges a minimum of $100 per person per shore excursion.  They may have one or two lower than that but I don't recall any.
