  1. try this calculator: http://www.quikrete.com/Calculator/Main....

plug in your numbers and get # bags

    Good Luck!

  2. Is that 6' x 2' x 4"? If so, about 4 cubic feet.

If you're ordering it from a concrete plant, they sell by the cubic yard, and this is just under .15 cubic yard.

  3. If you're an eagle scout you need to work this problem out by yourself.  Its relatively easy, what I do is buy about 10 bags of 60 lb concrete and what I don't use take back or store in the garage till I need them.

Here's one formula but your needs are so miniscule.

Thickness Cubic Ft of Con Sq ft from one cu yard

    2 .167 162

    3 .25 108

    4 .333 81

    5 .417 65

    6 .50 54

Assume the floor to be 4” thick

To calculate the total amount of concrete required, divide the total slab area ,1040, by the square feet from one cubic yard, 81,

  4. A yard of concrete is 36" x 36" x 36" for a total of 46,000 cubic inches.   48" x 24" x 4" is 4,608 cubic inches.  Hardware stores sell concrete mix by the bag.  Each bag covers about 1 cubic foot.  Read the bag to make sure.  One cubic foot is equal to 1728 cubic inches.
