  1. A car after 2000, 10-12 pounds.

    Pre 2000's, 20-23 pounds.

    Yeah. Alot.

  2. There is a movement to change the 12 volts systems in use now to a 36 volt system. This will allow manufacturers to reduce the amount of copper by a substantial percentage.

  3. It's used primarily in the electrical system,

(wiring & coils - alternator, starter motor, solenoids.)

Sometimes in brass & bronze springs, some

    copper crush washers & gaskets.

AC makes a difference with copper used in it's

    cooling and condenser coils.

Wild A** guess: about 8 pounds.

  4. About 55 lb, 45 in electrical, 10 in non-electrical. Starter motor and its cables to the battery alone are 15+ lbs. Also consider wires throughout car, all the solenoids and motors. The structural is mostly the radiator, A/C components,  and certain plumbing fixtures.
