I wouldn't bother trying to resist.

Current tactical doctrine is to spill everything immediately.  

Then let your torturers waste their time re-confirming each detail, because people will say ANYTHING to get the pain to stop, and they will have to validate each and every statement you made to see which was the truth and which was just mouth foam thrown off in the heat of the moment.

No one stands for very long under torture.  Only people who have never experienced it say that they could.

And, paradoxically, because people under torture will say ANYTHING, that's why torture is a lousy tool for interrogation.

It's not only unethical - it doesn't WORK well.

The U.S. military knows this, in relation to its own personnel.  Places like Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib yield very little, darn close to zero, usable intelligence - by the time anything truthful has been confirmed, it's too old to be of any use.

The primary value of torture is the effect it has on people who are NOT in custody.
