Question:

How much credit should be given to Element 21 Golf for Vijay Singh's win today?

Element 21 Golf clubs (and shafts which Mr. Singh uses) are made of scandium, as opposed to titanium. Every major testing facility concerning golf clubs has claimed these clubs are more accurate/straighter and the ball travels farther than with every other club on the planet.

  1. I have a bridge for sale cheap in a place called Brooklyn. If you believe hype given by the club maker, sales should be pretty brisk. Many golfers need that " magic wand ". Glad to see Vijay back in the winners circle despite the lousy putting.

  2. Thanks so much for the question.  I totally forgot about e21 shafts until you asked your question.  I read about Vijay Singh switching to e21 iron shafts last summer, haven't heard much since then.

I think his ball striking was amazing this week.  If his putting was half decent, he would have won by 6-7 strokes.  He has worked hard on his swing, which is no surprise since his work ethic is legendary.  His equipment and shafts definitely deserve some credit.

Vijay's iron play was superb, his long irons were perfect.  He hit so many great 4-irons this week.

  3. Very little if any.  The shaft is the heart and soul of any golf club, but VJ is the one who made the swings and put up the score, not his equipment.  If scandium is that great then I'm sure that soon we will see everyone on tour using it.
