  1. depends on the size of the sponges.

  2. Are you on crack? I think your mom was when she had you.

  3. I really hope you're joking.

  4. i like this question

    let's find out =]

  5. The sponges would only retain enough water for roughly their body mass. And still, they are full of holes which would allow watter to pass through them. The water would be shallower due to the fact that they are taking up space, nothing else. It's like if you take an ice cube out of a glass of water; the level would lower due to displacement

  6. due to displacement the seas would be shallower

  7. I find it rather amusing that someone gave bad ratings to those people who answered this correctly.  If there were no sponges, the water level would indeed be lower.  How much lower?  Depends upon the total mass of all the sponges.

Anyone who doesn't believe this anwer, just fill a glass about halfway up with water, and stick a sponge in it.  The water level will RISE due the the sponge's mass/volume.

  8. It would actually lower in depth, not rise. You could not remove the sponge without the water it contained.

  9. Wooooooah...*blink blink* The world may never know...but I DO know that it takes 3,872 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop
