  1. Wow im going to say around 200-300$ for a new one

  2. a mainstream desktop computer that sold for $2,200 in 1993 may have included a 33 megahertz (MHz) central processing unit (CPU), 8 megabytes (MB) of dynamic random access memory (DRAM), a 210MB hard drive, a 15-inch monitor, as well as many other defining technological characteristics.

  3. New computers were around 750  dollars.  Technology around this time was very new.

1993 is around the time that 486DX2 were out, and running strong.

  4. More like $1800, including monitor.  They weren't cheap.

  5. $37,000

  6. I didn't get one until 1994, but it cost me $1200 for the monitor, keyboard and mouse.  I think it was an IBM or Intel... not a name known now like Dell or Gateway.  I got less than 1/4 a gig of memory and thought it was sooo cool.  It was the green screen thing with the yellow or white writing.  You could choose.  The monitor was a 17" screen and the case was wide as the table almost.  Oh boy, those were the days.  :)

  7. In 1992 I paid almost $3000 for a high end Gateway with all the bells and whistles (486 Processor)

A couple of years later I spent that much again on a Dell Pentium.  About the same time I got my First Laptop for work - It was almost $5000
