How much did it cost you to do your first salt water fish tank?

Question

Like i am wandering how much it costs to make my first salt water aquarium. with some sea anemone and some live sand and a pair of clown fish...

is there something else i should add to help make the tank better for the 2 fish? also what kind of filter should i use. also what size of tank should i start out with fr the 2 clown fish?

also how do i know they are both male or both female...i don't want them to breed!!!!!!

i suggest you dont get a tank untill you do a lot more research darlin....

there is plenty of information available to you if you were able to ask that question here.  try google, or peteducation.com, or animal-world.com, etc...

good luck...  and please remember that having an aquarium is A LOT of work!!!!!  and it's definately NOT cheap!!!

It's safe to figure $10 or so per gallon for fish only, $30 per gallon for a reef tank. Not an exact science but it's a good ballpark to figure.

It took a lot hard work and dedication to make my first saltwater fish tank. It costed me a lot of money and labor. I probably spent about 500 dollars. Good luck kid, your gonna need it.
