and is it cheaper if you just get braces on your top teeth? because my bottom teeth are really straight already and there isn't much of a point unless there is an added benefit of getting both?

  1. i got mine for $4500, but i think my mum paid in cash and also braces aren't just done on the top or the bottom set of teeth, they either get done together or not at all.

  2. About $5000.00!

  3. Hope that helps =)

  4. Lots of questions about the costs involved with braces tonight????

    If it ain't broke...don't fix it - doesn't apply with braces...grrrrrrrr

Even though your bottom teeth may "appear" to be straight, when your top teeth are adjusted, they may not line up with your bottom teeth so you could require braces top and bottom.

Costs involved these days will probably be in the vicinity of AUD$6,000.00.

A nice smile is always a plus and worth every penny with any person as opposed to crooked or cavity filled front teeth.  There is a woman where I work who, I swear, must never have been to the Dentist in her life....I've seen better smiles on Donkeys.

My ex Sister-In-Law is an Assistant in an Orthodontist's Surgery at Gordon, Sydney.  They're pretty good but they're not cheap.

  5. Mine cost $5500 - $6000 (cant remember the exact amount) and that was for braces on the top and bottom.

I'm not sure how much cheaper just getting top would be, sorry :)

  6. I have braces and mine cost about 1,800 my teeth weren't that bad so they were cheap ones. If your teeth are really bad it can cost heaps. It costs different prices for different people so ask your dentist/orthodontist to check out your teeth, they will give you an approximate price if you need braces. YOu will get the braces in the places that you need them most, my friend only got hers on her first few top teeth. Usually the dentist/orthodintist will put them over the whole mouth, it depends on how bad your teeth are. Also if you have health insurance you can claim so much money back, we are with teachers credit union and they pretty much paid back the whole lot.

  7. About $5000 for top and bottom but you get about $2000 back if you are in a private health fund
