how much money did floyd mayweather realy make for his fights?I read 2 articles that mayweather bragged that he made 20 million for the big show & in reality floyd only made 3 million with wwe...in the same article it says mayweather bragged he made 8 million for baldomir but in reality floyd only made 4 million..another point that the article mentioned is when floyd claimed he broke his hand in the jesus chavez & at the post fight his hands looked fine when he was signing autographs & never went to the hospital to get it casted, after the first castillo fight in the interview floyd said his arm was messed up & when asked again later that same night he said his hand was broken, again he never got it casted,he also claimed he hurt his hand against the 36 yearold with 10 losses journeyman baldomir & that was the reason why he couldnt knockout baldomir because of his hand...this guy has been cuaght on many lies & why do so many ppl believe all the garbage that comes out of this frauds mouth?HBO hyped up this guy to look better than what he realy was and all those mayweather fans have been drinking to much HBO kool-aid..

  1. He is estimated to have made forty million off boxing alone. But if count endorsements and other side deals he is estimated to have a net worth of 74 mill.

  2. Floyd made between 10-12 million dollars when he was with top rank. 5 million for judah 8 million for baldimor 15 for both oscar and hatton( which he made about 25 miilion more on PPV buys with those two fight) if you ever look at it they say "estimated" purses because PPV buys are paid at once time and their is so much detail in recieving royalties for them. an example is some fighters split 10% of PPV buys at 49.95 a piece(4.995 for the fighters) 50/50($2.45 per order) and then after so many buys they split it 60/40 or whatever. Also remeber floyd has had some fights that didn't sell out in tickets and the 4 fights we just mentioned are his most successful.

so 8+5+15+15+25 for PPV gives us +10 for his fights with top rank gives us 78 million throw in the 6 he allegedly made with WWE(would have been 20 if oscar would have participated in the story as ray mysterio's partner and floyd as the big show which was originally planned to promote the rematch, until rey actually got hurt and oscar pulled out) thats about 84 million give or take.

Now here is the tricky part: when does floyd recieve the money and what tax % does he pay. I woudl estimate floyd has about 40 million in the bank give or take 4 million on intrest and investment returns.

He has enough to live good for the rest of his life

  3. That's why true boxing fans can see right through him.

  4. Well that article is probably talking about how much he took home, If Floyd made 8 million for a fight with Baldomir he would pay Roger Mayweather around 35% give or take, then he had to pay his conditioning coach, cutman, corner men all % as well, not nearly as much as Roger but all together a fighter pays out about 40 to 45% to his team + taxes yea he probably lost at least half of that 8 million.

For DeLaHoya he made 20 million dollars + endorsements + interviews and I think he had a part in the promotion of the fight as well so he did well. Who knows with the wrestling thing how much he got paid under the table. If they show he only got 3 million then he does not have to pay as many taxes, but you can bet that somewhere along the way he was given a big briefcase full of money.

I can't see Floyd doing that WWE debacle and risk getting injured for 3 million dollars that does not sound like Floyd to me.

I cant defend Floyd because he does allot of ****, he never knocked those guys out because he did not have any power. He was like a fast little mosquito except their bite was probably harder. Floyd has been an excuse maker his entire career, he is an ego maniac and when he does not perform 100% he makes excuses. He basically fought the easier competition all the way up the ladder avoiding the tough opponents and taking the ones that best suited his style, usually slower strait forward punchers that presented no angles. Floyd retired at 30 to avoid fighting Cotto or Margarito, he did not even want to fight Oscar again. He was a pretty good slick boxer who avoided any fighter who might beat him. So he will never be great.
