  1. Typically I make about $500 on a garage sale.  We just did my grandma's estate sale and it was $2300.  But we sold almost everything she owns!

  2. I made aboout $400 on the moving sale I had last month.

  3. When I moved, I had a huge 2 day garage sale.  We sold everything from art, to high end furniture, to appliances to collectibles and we made 1800.  Best sale I ever had!  I think a lot has to do with what you have for sale and the neighborhood you have the sale in.  We held ours in a high disposable income zip and I'm sure that helped.  Cheer up, anything you do make is more cash than you had.

  4. welp, i think it depends where you live, both the city, and the exact location of your house.  where we live now, we make nada, i mean maybe 20 or 30 bucks, no more than 50 tops.  and yes, we have stopped doing it because it's not worth sitting out in the sun all day and arguing with people who want to pay 25 cents for everything and on top of that want to complain about the quality of the items!  the most i made i think was closer to 80, maybe, and that was in a different state.  you almost can't give stuff away where we live now.

  5. Well I do really well at my garage sales. But I think it has alot to do with location, advertisement, and pricing.Alot of people think that if they paid $25 for something that they can charge $20 for it.If you have something that is brand new still in box take a few dollars off what you paid for it ,but if its not new and not in box take at least 50% off what you paid for it.Thats the idea of a garage sale to save money.

  6. Ugh.... When my husbands grandparents moved into an assisted living complex they had a garage sale and EVERYONE had to help.. So, I brought cookies/brownies and lunch for everyone.. The yard was set up nice and there were many many nice vintage pieces, kitchenware, tools, and other misc. items... It rained and where we had it there's NOT alot of parking which can make/break a yard sale.... Then there were groups of people (families) stealing merchanidise.... The most that we sold were BEANIE BABIES!  The proceeds went to charity... Though I think for the total day it was around $400 maybe less... It was an incredible waste of an entire day!

    good luck

  7. I don't remember, but it wasn't much.  Not worth sitting outside all day.  lol.

    Good luck to you!
