  1. When I was learning, it was £3 an hour.

    But that was in 1985 lol....

    I think they're about £25 ish now.

  4. I haven't spent any money for my driving lessons.  But I will in a couple of months.  ;)

  5. I had the first 20 lessons for £100 and then it was £12 a lesson after that....13yrs ago...

  8. i had about 10 lessons at £16 each, that was nearly 3 years ago now, i passed first time :-)

  9. I paid thirty seven & a half pence (seven shillings & six pence in old money) for a one hour lesson.  That was over 40 years ago. My test cost 50p.  A lot of money in these days.

  10. Altogether? I think it worked out at about £500... including tests, provisional licence and then actual licence.

    My lessons were about £20 each, but it was a fair few years ago now.

    What I did originally was try a few different companies- I had about 6 free 'first' lessons. There were two reasons for this; 1: I was in sixth form and had no income but mainly 2: your driving instructor is crucial to your experience, and if you don't get along, then you'll find life very hard.

    Having had 6 first lessons, it's amazing the differences between instructors. Some actually screamed at me... it was unpleasant.

    In the end, I went with a bloke I found in the yellow pages. I didn't like the BSM or AA people. 6 months later, I passed first time :-)

  12. Think i spent about £22 for one hour. that was 2 years ago. i think its more about £25 now.
