For your 7-8 year old daughter? My daughter outgrew ALL of her pants, except for 1. She's not really comfortable in jeans and jeans are all either too big or too small, so she has alot of stretchy pants. I had to get her a few stretchy pants, but then had to find tops to go with them. I spent $250 and that's not including the shoes we have to still buy! I was getting desperate toward the end of our shopping excursion and ended up buying a pair of pants for $30. Ughh!

  1. So far we have spent about $30 dollars, but my mom always puts it off until the last minute. We usually spend like $250 dollars, but that includes shoes and everything

  2. it depends on where you go and where you look. my mom won't let me get anything full price unless it my own money, or i desperately need it. I haven't gotten any school clothes yet, but i think my mom is learning to stop shopping so cheap, because my clothes only last me a few months. My dad had to convince her that jeans for me (that last) can no longer be bought for $10 a pair, as i only have one pair of jeans that fit, that were hand me downs.

IF you go to outlet stores, you have a better chance to get good prices. wait 5 more years and you will spend upwards of 500 dollars just at one store

  3. erm i have a uniform which can be quite expensive because they have to have a logo I'm in year 10 now but i have grown out of all my uniform and need some shoes  which are very hard because i have small feet and they have to be black shoes now but i cant wear shoes i hate school shopping then i need a whole new pencil case bag and equipment

    help me

  4. Honestly, it is all pending on what you can afford. Get the basics/ the things she needs right now, and then as they year progresses shell be getting other things here & there If youre in a pinch Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross, & even Target are all great for now

  5. First off i don't think that a 7-8 year old needs a $30 jeans. I mean American Eagle has then for less than that. Try Wet Seal, Aeropostal, and Forever 21. I'm 15 years old and i spend $600 for my back to school which includes clothes, school supplies, shoes ( P.E. shoes and casual shoes). So yea i think that's enough.

  6. Around $100 including new sneakers.

  7. Well, i do not have a 7-8 year old daughter, but i have 2 10 year old twins i need to shop for.

Boy twin: Overall price, about 250$.

    Girl twin:Overall price:210$

We didn't get the list for supplies yet.

  8. For stretchy try the five dollars pants at target

They look just like the more expensive, but they are just five dollars

    Not much

    It still hot

She wear her summer close for the first month of school

She get a couple of outfits

The fall cloths go on sale for the winter

I can never tell the different

I will pick up the fall clothes next month

  9. I buy everything on clearance the year before. My son's wardrobe is mainly Gymboree and I payed $3-$4 a piece for it at the end of the fall/winter season last year.

  10. i hate limited too. i suggest getting her shoes at khols kmart or payless

  11. wow that's all you spent? where did you shop? my daughter and son cost me about 1,000 just on clothes not including the shoes.......i only get them the best. you know, nike shox, seven jeans, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, aeropostale, banana republic. and then we still shop almost every weekend and my daughter usually get about 4 shirts then. we are very blessed to have my husband. he's a surgeon and makes REALLY good money.

  12. So far I have spent $130 on my 5 year old boy's school clothing. He is going into Kindergarten. I just bought enough to get him started because he has growth spurts alot and I know in a couple of months he will need a different size. If you want to save money and still get nice clothing try T.J. Max!

  13. Had she outgrown all her tops, too? You could have bought stretchy pants in neutral colors like black, navy, khaki and grey that she could have worn with any top. Not every pair of pants has to have a matching top. Just sayin...

All in all, I don't think that is so bad. For my twelve year old daughter, who is tall and wears size 3 juniors and does like jeans, I got her four pair of designer jeans - Lucky, True Religion, Seven, Silver -- and four pair of like new capris -- Union Bay, Gap, and two American Eagle, at the trendy second hand store for a total of $70. I got her three woven tops at JCPenney for $3.50 each on clearance that she can wear with tanks she already has, and LA Gear sneakers at Dunhams, a discount sporting good store, for $30, and two pair of sweat-knit Soffi shorts for $7.50 each for P.E.  She has sweaters and hoodies, tees and polos that still fit her and I will get her another hoodie or two plus a winter coat in October.

For my son who's five I got him some polos and cargo pants from Wal-Mart for about $7 each and NSS skate sneakers from Dunhams that were $40 for $9.99 on clearance. He can start out wearing tees and cargo shorts he already owns.

  14. I'm only twelve and i have a 9 year old little sis...i just gave her my clothes that dont fit me anymore...my answer is $0.00

  15. $600 :(

  16. i know i will get a thumbs down i always do on this but i have 4 kids and it does get expensive. i go to consignment stores. i bought my daughter 8 all kinds of things. hollister, roxy, abercrombie for dirt cheap. i get jeans there for 10.00 and tops for 5.00 in a consignment store they will not sell anything that is worn, torn or stained. i have got stuff with the tags still on. i added it up once and i got 560.00 worth of clothes for 78.00. and for being so young you know she will grow out of clothes or ruin them in a month anyway. i spend about 500.00 for school clothes and the real price would of been lots more.   have a great day

  17. I'm getting all my clothes from Limited Too it is going to 200 dollars plus my mother goes crazy on school supply which we spent 40 dollars in because we get stuff like 9 cent crayons at k-mart.not to mention my sister who is getting 2 outfits too.We have clothes from last year so all we need is 2 new outfits and I'm going to buy me a few bras before school my mom says I need one.

  18.   Get used to those prices. One day she's going to want stuff from places like American Eagle Outfitters, and their jeans are from $20.00 through about $50.00

I feel bad, because this year my mom and I spent over $500.00 on school stuff.

Of course I had to pay half though :/

  19. My daughter is 6, so she is in first grade.  Her school is in uniform, so I spent about $120 between 6 uniforms and school supplies.  As far as "no school clothes", my daughter only knows about Wal Mart, Target and Ross.  I do not want to teach her that her value is in her clothes and I want to show her that being on a budget does not mean having to be unfashionable.  I buy lots of clothes off season and a year ahead.  I got her some long sleeve shirts that are very nice for 34 cents each, brand new.  I just watch the clearance rack and stock up.

  20. about $400.00 on everything!

  21. $30 for jeans for an 8 yr old? I"m almost 15 and my jeans are $19 at JcPenny!!  I wouldn't spend more than $150 on new clothes for your daughter b/c she's going to outgrow those clothes too in a matter of months.
