  2. Wedding was in June this year.  Spent $10,000

Kansas wedding.  About 200 guests.  Find deals and stick to them.  Don't send out save-the-dates unless you are having a destination wedding or everyone else will have to fly in for your wedding.

  3. I am getting married in June.  We dont really have a set budget but my guess it will be around $28,000.  We will have 160 guests

    So far:

    Dress: $1100

    Alterations: $150

    Veil: $350

    Cermony Site: $750

    Organist: $100

    Reception site: $2000

    Catering: $9500

    Flowers: $3000

    Linens: ??????

    Shoes: $195

    Wedding Night Hotel: $280

    Save the Date Invitations: $380

    Invitations: ????????????

    Postage:  $170

    Cake $700

    DJ: $500

    Wedding Planner: $1000

    Band: $3000

then all the little stuff adds up!

  4. We are spending $3k, wedding is in 2008. 60 guests.

    $400 on my dress

    $70 on my shoes

$400 on the attendants dresses and shoes

    $35 on flowers

$30 on save the date cards and postage

    $75 on invitations and postage

$800 on the "second" reception Drinks at a bar afterwards

$75 for the corsages for the mothers

    $400 on wedding bands

This does not include the grooms attire and gifts for our witnesses

Mother in law paying for a simple reception(mints, nuts and punch)

    Mother is buying the cake.

  5. My budget for my wedding on 6/28/08 was $15,000. I ended up at $13,600 or so. I found a lot of ways to keep my budget down - I did my own flowers, worked with a designer friend to get invitation costs down, bought my dress at a trunk show...etc. We had approximately 140 guests.

If you are looking to save money, I'd be happy to share all of my corner-cutting ideas!

  6. We are spending about $20,000. I think will be over by $3000 when we are done. We are spending a little at a time to make it easier. That is for 160 people buffet dinner, invites, programs, my dress, his tux rental, candy favours, centrepieces, the cake, the venue, flowers and 30 disposable cameras for the tables. We are getting married in January 2009 and have been planning since January 2008.

  7. wow...some of the people who responed are getting an incredible deal!

We did not really set a budget for our wedding in June 2009. But here is how it is coming along. We are having a Sunday champagne brunch for about 180 people

    Dress, veil, shoes: $2300

    Tux rental $200 each ( need 5)

    floral: $1700

    meal about $11,000

    coordinator $1000

    ceiling draping $1000

    favors $800 ( personalized wine)

    pastor: $350

    ceremony set up fee $200

    cake $800

    Invites $400

I know I am leaving somethings out but that is $18,750

I believe we will end up around $20,000 when it is all said and done.

    Not including rings.

  8. Our budget for wedding and honeymoon was $6,500...we'll probably hit $7,000-$7,250 when it's all said and done.

Sucks, but we tried..it is hard to do anything cheap in Southern California.

Oh, and this is for about 130 guests this coming November...

  9. My budget was $8,000. I ended up spending about $7,000.

It was 130 guests. Our wedding was 07-07-07.

  10. Our original budget was 20K for 150 guests in central PA.

It's in October of this year (38 days to go!)

We're amazingly on budget... so we added a Sunday brunch, and that added about 2K.

  11. It will be next August and it should be under $4,000.

Ceremony site: $350 (gorgeous Como park in St. Paul)

    Officiant: $150

Photographer: Free - gift from a friend who does great work

Wedding dress: Free - wearing my grandmother's (it's gorgeous and a perfect fit, I know I got lucky)

    HTBs tux rental: $200

Dinner for 20-30 friends and family afterwards: $1800

rings-$500 (already have them picked out)

Backyard Celebration (Barbecue) in MILs yard: $1000 (not paid for by us)
