  1. A friend of mine paid £72!

That included a ploughmans, and a pint down the pub!

  2. less than $2,000.  I paid for everything myself and that $2,000 paid for everything.  My dress, my husband's ring (I didn't get a ring, so that didn't cost anything), tuxes, bridesmaids dresses, food for 360 plus guests, church, flowers, reception hall, dj, decorations, absolutely every aspect of the wedding is included in that price.

  3. Our wedding cost around £8000.

We didn't want anything too big, but I wanted it to be nice for my wife. So we pushed the boat out a little and spent a bit more than just a budget wedding.

  4. 0 cos we're not getting married. it's another ripoff industry

  5. £9500 if everything goes as planned.

  6. I am not married, but i am looking to give you advice. It depends on which wedding you looking for. A big church ceremony to really celebrate your love for each other, or even a themed wedding which would personally cost more. A little wedding in a registration office would be less hassle. You can wear suit's or even a prom kind of dress instead of a poofy white one. It is more private, just really for family and friends. My parents got married in a registry office.

  7. well  mines cost £150,000 in english pounds which wud be around $300,000

  8. Mine cost less then $1,000.

  9. ours was done on the cheap as we were broke.mum paid for my wedding dress the flowers and the catering which she did herself.my brother in law paid for the hall to be decorated pretty.friends of ours did the disco free they usually charged £150 son and his wife paid for us to stay in a top hotel.my daughter and her husband paid for our cake.all we paid for was hubbys suit hire the rings the hall and the registery office.a friend of ours supplied 12 huge bottles of champayne.we had a fabulous time.oh and another friend a photographer did the photos for free.

  10. less than 1000 pounds..........any more is a total rip off

  11. Never do that again!

  12. Our friends are getting married next year and it's costing £13,000 (apparently this is a budget wedding and they are having nothing fancy) my cousin is getting married at the end of the month and it is costing about £24,000 x x

  13. Whatever the license cost & we went to the local district court & the judge did it for FREE. you just need a witness. Thats here in PA.

  14. Mine... about between 2,500 and 3,500 and that included my dress, rings and everything. It was sooo beautiful.

  15. All in, less than £5000.  I hired my wedding dress, made the cake myself, but got it professionally iced. Hired a beautiful venue, which is run by our local council, so it was cheaper than a hotel.  We saved a fortune by going to France and buying our own booze, even with a corkage fee.

  16. Ours cost less than £1,500 but my mom is making my dress and my fiance's aunt is making the cake. browse the web for tips on how to save money on your wedding.

  17. $8,000

  18. $3,500 for everything altogether.  We kept things small and simple, but it was still a step above casual.

  19. £150 that was the registration and certificate fees.

    Clergyman gave his services free.

    .

  20. 2,000.00 US dollars...had a town hall ceremony & a simple home reception for 20.....a second marriage for both of us.

  21. about 12k USD...about half is the reception....

  22. we were married 8 days ago and the ceremony, the hire of the hotel, the drinks and canapes after the ceremony, the evening disco and buffet for 65 people and the outfits for the groom and 3 lads came to less than £2000.

our wedding was exactly as we wanted it. i had a florist make up my bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquet and the buttonholes but with the help of a friend i made the flower arrangements for the venue. be open to new ideas and you can save your self a fortune without being tacky.
