How much difference does a new video card in your pc actually make?

I checked my dxdiag and found nothing on video/graphics cards

  1. This depends on your cache.

    It works very similarly to RAM, the more RAM, the faster the computer.

    To find out what your current chache is, type in dxdiag into the run command found in the start menu.

    Look through the information and see what your onboard video/graphics card is.

    Now you can decide if it's worth buying a video card. If you only have 128MB then you could get a 256MB or 512MB.

    You need to click the save all button and you should be able to find it, if you can't, enter BIOS (Basic Input/Output System).

    Do this by restarting your computer and while it's loading up keeps pressing Del. When the blue screen comes up with all the options you need to find where your graphic card settings are (I can't remeber off the top of my head). There you can edit which card it uses (onboard or AGP/PCI one) and you can edit how fast you want it, up to the speed that it offers.

    I recently upgraded from 64 to 128

    And I feel a lot of difference in gaming
