I am looking to get a rav4. The 2009 models are begining to come out. There are still going to be 2008 models on the lots for a little bit. How much could I get off of a 2008 once the 2009's are out?

  1. The Toyotas actually don't drop in price when the newer models come out, as they generally sell well and the newer models prices are higher, so the older model goes out the door faster as most don't want to pay the higher price of a newer model.  Best way to get a better price is to go through an auto wholesaler, like most Credit Unions  and Costco has.  You pay the wholesaler $300 after you take delivery, and usually you save about $3k to $5k.

  2. I think right now you should be able to get a lot off.  Car dealerships are hurting because of the gas prices and being that is a smaller suv I think you should be able to bargain a lot because suv's are hard to move these days.
