  1. Well its a lot different but not a lot harder.

I do both and I love both. Itll just take some getting used to for you.

In wakeboarding, you have to worry about getting up. You start with the board's bottom facing the boat. Your knees are pulled in tight to your chest. As the boat starts to speed up you can not let the boat pull you forward but you can't lean back to far or you will fall. Once you are up, you will naturally let one foot in front of the other [goofy?] Its just different because you have to worry about holding onto the rope, wakes from other boats, AND staying balanced. Your arms will get worn out and sore your first few times but it is really fun!

its like snowboarding for the warm seasons :]

  2. umm, well i do both, and the only thing you need to learn on wakeboarding is getting up. and then like carving and stuff is pretty much the same.

  3. Lot difference you can either freeze to death or drown

  4. Wakeboarding and snowboarding is like waterskiing and skiing.  They are smiliar, but there are different mechanics to each.  On a snowboard and skis, you need to be completely balanced on the board going downhill. On a wakeboard, you have more pull from the boat versus downhill gravity, so you need to be balanced against the tow rope.  It's a little different.  Basic turns are similar, but jumping the wake and tricks on a wakeboard is completely different than tricks on a snowboard.

They are both alot of fun but as someone else said - getting up is the one thing you have to master first on a wakeboard - it takes some practice!
