How much do Blockbusters charge you for a late movie?

I have a movie I rented last Saturday and it's already a day late, and I really don't want to go out in the dark alone so I was thinking to pop it back in the morning. How much do they charge if the movie is late?

They normally charge you the daily rate of the movie so ie. if the movie costs £3.95 for a night then they charge you £3.95 for every day that it's late

Down here in Brazil they charge you about 6 reais 3 dollars a day, however if the movie is late they charge you 4 reais, 2 dollars per day. You can also pay the monthly package where you can get 3 movies at a time as many times as you wish in 30 days!

It has just cost me £24 for three dvds I thought we had out for a week but were actually for three days, so £2 per dvd per day over for me.

Where I live, Blockbuster has done away with late fees and replaced it with a new system.  You have a week from the due date to return the  movie.  If you return it in this timeframe, there is no late fee.  After that additional week is over the rental converts to a sale, and your credit card will be charged for the retail price of the movie.  You now have 30 days to return the movie.  If you return it within 30 days, you will receive a refund, minus $1.25 handling fee.  After 30 days, you cannot return the movie because you now own it.

For example, if your movie were due today, you would have 7 days from today to return it before the rental converted to a purchase.
