How much do I have to pay customs duty in USA if I buy a jwerly worth of $55 from canada?

I bought some jewerly from Ebay and all together are worth USD55. My question is how much customs duty do I have to pay when the product is ship from Canada to HERE, USA? I heard some people said everything under $100 there will be no duties charge is that right? Hope someone can help me out here soon..

  1. I dont believe you will have to pay duties. I know when i ship to the states products worth that much they don't have to pay, but I don't know about the other way around.

I not only buy computer parts but sell them on Ebay, and it is not the US Custom your going to have the issues with it is whether it was shipped USPS or by one of the couriers, for couriers they have to have it inspected, if it was "mailed" to the US from Canada and insured it will not require any additional charges, I have gotten over $100 and under and paid some duty here if it was shipped via courier, UPS is the worst for that extra charge.
