I am British, I was born i the UK. I am going to be getting married to a man in Pakistan early next year. In order to sponsor him to come to live with me in the UK I need to meet certain criteria. Income accommodation, non receipt of state benefit.

He is currently earning an above average income in Pakistan.

I need to know how much I need to be earning ie therefore paying tax at what amount per annum in order to sponsor him.

I am not in receipt of state funds, I live with my daughter in a 6 bedroom rented house. I just need to know how much I should be showing as my income and how much do I need to have as savings.

Your help would be very much appreciated on this matter..

My Regards

  1. I dont think you have to prove how much you earn its more a case of proving you and your spouse will not claim benefits once he gets here, will he have a job secured in the UK before he arrives? how much benefit will he be to our country? does he have any criminal convictions? those are the things the government will look at.

If you are renting a big house without claiming state benefits and have some financial security he should be ok.

  2. I can print 2 pages of information here but I rather wont since its available from the UKBA (Visa SECTION) website. Please check the website below.

    Good luck.
