My daughter my princess wants to go to a private university. My husband is disabled with kidney disease and a recent kidney transplant. I work at a high school and make nothing. My child was denied FAFSA. Why?

  1. The amount of financial aid you get is based on your tax return. I would re-file/contact FAFSA and see what is wrong. You aren't really denied FAFSA, it is just a way to determine the amount of aid you are eligible for. Maybe you mis-read it and your EFC is 0? If so, that means you are not expected to pay anything towards college.
