She was buried near the Fish River where it is thought that she was born. but I could not find out where exactly.

Varkie, I am sure that there are shops in South Africa that cater for ALL body shapes of ALL South Africans. And failing that, what is wrong with wearing a lovely colourful wrap-around skirt?

Saartjie Baartman was buried not far from where I stay with pomp and ceremony. It was a big thing here in the Eastern cape, I have forgotten now, think she was either buried at Loerie or Patensie or even Hankey? I feel so sorry for her, imagine she lived today, how on earth would she have been able to fit a pair of jeans over that enormous, and it really was humongous, derriere of hers? All I can say is she must have been the Jennifer Lopez of her time.........Thank goodness I do not have a bum like hers!!!!!
