How much do TEST and IPL umpires get PAID thers not that many as you see the same old faces .?

The Test umpires are provided by the ICC International

Umpires committee. I believe currently they have only 8

qualified umpires by ICC committee and to top that the umpire

from the country he comes from cannot officiate in the game

his country places. Hence we get to see the same faces over

and over again.

About the salary, it is based on the contract between the ICC

and umpire. For example, Steve Bucknor made about US

$120,000 a year and Simon Taufel makes similar amounts.

In addition to this, they are paid airfare tickets,

accommodation and food. There are additional perks offered

by ICC. So basically their salaries are in the range about

$60,000 to $130,000 a year.

Related to IPL umps, many are local and are paid by IPL

committee. I have no idea what they are paid. I strongly

believe they may also be well paid given the hype of IPL we

have seen so far. Probably they are also provided a contract

on an annual basis.
