Question:

How much do a full set of dentures cost yearly without insurance?

My 8 year old cousin would like dentures. He has no adult teeth and only 8 baby teeth that would come out soon. Since he is growing they'd need to be replaced yearly.

I cannot include insurance since his parents are not reliable for financial information (too scatterbrained) and not firm to avoid the "preexisting condition" on policies. (His lack of teeth is due to a genetic condition.)

  1. Go to a dental school close to you. The residency program in Prosthodontics may be able to accept his case and they usually charge less. My estimate would be about 1500 for a set (both upper and lower) without implants. Anyone practicing outside would charge over 3000 for a set. Once your cousin is over 19-20 yrs , he can get implants and dentures made over implants. They would be more permanent.

Prices vary depending on where you live, so you should have mentioned where you live.

  3. Interesting.

I know dentures in US are dam expensive.

I have a great idea for you.

    go to

    www.dentistryindia.com

    talk to this lady doc

She is master in making dentures. She should be able to help you.

  4. You are very sweet to think of your cousin! He should really see a specialist called a Prosthodontist. They are dentists who specialize in complicated dental cases , such as your cousin's case. They would be better able to tell you or his parents what the best treatment would be.Look under Dentists, then under specialists to get a Prosthodontist in your area. Good luck to you both!
