  1. I don't think you get paid to be in the Olympics ... now if you get an endorsement deal w/ Nike, Gatorade, etc. that will make them money.  But I don't think you get paid just to participate and suck bad lol

  2. Nothing, but some countries give their athletes up to 20,000 dollars per medal they get. So we can expect Michael Phelps to be a rich man

  3. I know Micheal Phelps gets paid about 5 million dollars just from the endorsments he has from companies like Nike or PowerBar. That doesn't even count the money he gets from winning medals.

  4. Depends on the country

    Going Rate

    China

    Gold medal $400,000.00 USD

    Silver medal $250,000.00

    Bronze medal $100,000

    Russia

    Gold Medal $250,000.00 USD

    Silver Medal $175,000

    Bronze Medal $125,000

No Medal A free one way trip to Siberia

    France

Oops forgot their athletes are told to quit before the competition begins. If they actually finish they are fined $200,000.00 USD

  5. Their sponsors pay them, how much they get payed,is up to them, and the medals they win.

  6. It depends on the country.  Most only get money through the sponsorship deals they get.

  7. i think there sponsors pay them to wear there gear, and if they win a medal i think they get paid more. china on the other hand forced there athletes to play for free or they die

  8. i think it depends on whether or not they get medals

  9. endorsement deals then ultimately Dancing With the Stars gig.

  10. they don't get paid if they did they'd be professionals and pros aren't allowed in the olympics. (doesn't count the basketball players.) they can get paid for the advertisements
