  1. From Nice-20 -200

       Ok- 10 - 100

  2. If you can find them they're about $10. I think bike nashbar still sells them. That's $10 each...

  3. I've reported that idiot.

Aren't 27" tyres quite hard to get hold of, or have a smaller range to choose from say over 700c? I would consider changing your wheels on that basis...If you have the time and money.

  4. There is a wide range of prices. K-Mart or Wal-Mart should carry tires that fit your wheel. They are probably about $7-10 each.

Some racing tires can be $100 or more. (each!)

  5. Chelsea, you can find 27" tires at Walmart sometimes, but they're not a great quality tire.  The best selection online is at http://www.nashbar.com  and they have a few of them at dirt-cheap sale prices right now.  The Panaracer Pasela TG (kevlar puncture protection) is on sale for $9.95 and it's what I'm riding on an old road bike right now.  They have several others to choose from, too.   Any bike shop can order some for you, too....if they don't keep them in stock, just ask to see their distributor catalogs and you can pick a model.

For a decent tire, plan on spending from $20 to $30 each.  (There aren't too many 27" tires available in high-quality versions that will cost more than that.)   I'd jump on those Panaracers if they come in a size you like.   Check out tires from Specialized and Continental, too.....pricier, but easily available.

Hope this helps.....good luck!   And yes....consider getting into a newer road bike with 700c wheels in the next couple years.  It's harder and harder to find 27" tires that are decent quality....before too much longer they may all but disappear!
