How much do braces cost?

i only get paid about 300 a month and i'm 17. my parents aren't covered. and my teeth are in desperate need of them.

help me out?

My braces cost around 4000 dollars but my mouth required a lot of work and i even had to get teeth pulled just to fix my mouth.  So i think that the cost of braces depends on the following:

1: Amount of work needed on the teeth.

2: What is the orthodontist that is doing the braces(some are more expencive than others)

3: Is their any other additional procedures (removing teeth)

and finally

4:If you lose a retainer you might have to pay to replace it which could cost around $100.00

Like i said... braces are expencive, yet in the end they are rewarding... i love the way my teeth look every time i look in the mirror now, and you will to!

Edit: I almost forgot... you don't have to pay all the money up front for braces, you can select long term payment plans at some orthodontists so even at your income it still may be possible.
