How much do camcorders cost?

Question

I dont want to get a crappy camcorder but don't want to spend like an extreme amount like over $700. Are there good camcorders that are between the price ranges of $300-$600. Does best buy have any good ones/ If they do can you please post a link to them. I dont want a camcorder with bad quality. Thanks in advance.

Just bought the Sony DVD108 from Circuit City for $269.  Very happy with it.  Can take the disk out and put it in the computer for viewing and copying or editing.  It has been replaced with a newer model but there are several that are good prices.  Very happy with the ability to shoot in almost any light condition and get good results.  Would recommend Sony products because of the low light IR technology.  Really like the convenience of the DVD and it is varied in capabilities depending on which type of disk you use.

You can get a decent Canon or a decent Sony camcorder for around $300.  If I were you, I'd probably go with Sony or Canon.

only 20 min. ago i was looking at J and R catalog, and a good camcorder don,t have to be expensive . a price range of $399 is good , a mini digital tape is cheap , its reusable, and takes 1 hour of recording
