Just out of curiousity say i was to take US money to Mexico and purchase a NEW car at a dealership, would it be priced in US money or in pesos? so like if i took 2500.00USD to Mex and exchanged it got like 25000.00 pesos could i end up buying a new 25000.00 car for a mere 2500.00? i am just wondering how all that kinda stuff works we are thinking of going to Mexico and i am just wondering how all this exchange stuff really works.

  1. nOP..   THE CARS ARE far more cheaper in USA..  with 25000 pesos  you can't find a decent auto...

that's why the mexicans  buy cars in brownsville or san diego then come back home with a good bargain....

IT'S BETTER if you buy a car in the USA, and then take a trip to mexico.

  2. www.pabloenlinea.com

There you can check which car you get for 2.5K USD, which for that amount you wont even get a Motorcycle.

You need AT LEAST 9K to buy a "decent" car. like a Neo Metro.

  3. OK well I don't think you could buy a new car for that price oh and for most of the time you would pay everything in pesos unless you were at the border towns they make exceptions. but generally if i have 30,000 dollars and i exchanged it I would around 300,000 pesos or maybe a little bit more. you can exchange your dollars at these little casetas.

  4. it would be priced in pesos and if you pay in dollars then they will convert the money to pesos by the daily exchange rate, if you want a new car 2500 dollars will not make it, you could buy like a 98-99 contour with that money if you want a brand new car it would be the same as the US or a little bit more expensive
