  1. If you go to your local Pet Store you an Buy The Vaccine For Olny $15 And The Seringe for $10.

So It Will At Come to About $20 There And Then If You Don't Know Anyone Who an Give The kitten it's Shots You Might Want To Bring it To Your Vet It Wont Be As Much As It Would Be If you Paying For The Vaccine And All.

I Hope It Helps A little Bit!

If Not Sorry I couldn't Help Any Farther

  2. Cats cost about £50 a year to vaccinate. An actual visit to the vet for check up etc ie about £30.

  3. If you adopt a kitten from a shelter they will already have their first set of shots, deworming, FiV testing and be spayed/neutered. and usually costs about $100. If you get a cat that needs all this it really depends on where you live. Where I live vaccines can range from $25 to $200 depending on where you go. Spay/neuter can be just as expensive which is why people say FREE cats are not really free. They end up being more expensive than adopting from shelters.

I would suggest shopping around. Look for shelters and ask them if they can recommend a good cheap vet. Most places will have a list ready for you.

And if you do adopt, please, please, please spay/neuter, especially if you plan on letting the cat outdoors.

  4. When you first get a kitten, there is a series of vaccines/shots that will need to be given - upper respitory, distemper, rabies, feline leukemia. They are given in rounds, so at first, you'll be going to the vet probably once a month for the first 6 months. Each visit should be under $100 (depending on what needs the kitten has). So vaccines should be about $300-$400 tops. It's the spay/neuter that will hit your wallet hard - it's expensive - but should be mandatory, for your pets health and well being, and so that we can prevent unwanted litters. If you visit the Friends of Animals website (ASPCA sponsored), you can purchase a discount spay/neuter certificate online (mine was $65 for a female spay) - as opposed to my vet who told me it would be around $500 w/o the discount.

Once the vaccines and spay/neuter are behind you, you'll have to do annual vaccines to make sure that everything is "in check" but it's just the initial part of having a cat that can be pricey. You want and need to make sure that she/he is in good health when starting out! This will ensure a long, happy and healthy pet! Good luck!
