How much do cooks make at the cheesecake factory/grand lux cafe?

uncle works there as line cook and he makes $8.25hr and one dollar more over time.

It's nowhere near a 5 star salary, I'd say it's about a 3.8 star salary. The cuisine is not complicated but it is a restaurant with a very good reputation so they hire cooks who are skilled and routinely so. The salary is probably quite good. This restaurant is very popular and they have very good knowledge of real estate that's why you can always find one somewhere in a trendy location. The food at this restaurant is shadowed, seemingly deliberately so, by its cheesecake. Its cheesecake, which is award winning, contains only the best ingredients. For the money it is a very good value, for gourmet cheesecakes. The food at this restaurant is somewhat ordinary but somewhat upscale, it is decidedly American in style but it does have foreign influences here and there. The salary is probably thrice that of a diner cook.
