  1. As a Solo driver 45-60k a year or better.

    Team collectively 100k or better.

Owner Operator. This one varies due to your over head. There are a lot of variations that factor into this one, depends on if your running under your own authority or your leased too someone.

Most companies by there drivers per mile so that base is

.32 to .40 cents a mile on practical miles.  There are still some companies that pay % of the load. (good way to get yourself screwed out of a lot of $$$)

  2. Depends on if you own your own rig or hire out; how much you are on the road and what type loads you carry.  Long haul trucker averages around $60k annually.  Back wrenching work driving that rig in all kinds of weather.

  3. avg pay is 28 to 38 per mile for a company driver,,,,,

an owner operator right now is barely breaking even or loosing,,, these trucks get 5 mpg,,,,, with 300 gallon taks,,,

  4. Not to sure about being paid by how many wheel theory, never heard that one before, but in the midwest area , if you own your rig or drive for someone else..If you get paid by the mile or by the load.Along with experience of course, driving a drop deck verses a tanker or running trains you get paid different.Being liability for the tanker and gravel trains require more skill. But going interstate you would generally be paid by the mile or percentage of the  load.

  5. 45 to 175 thousand a year, depends if you own your truck and if you drive the max hours possible throughout the year

  6. My dad did it for sometime, and the pay does vary. The guys that worked in the same company as him made about $50k a year. There are other companies that will pay $60k or more, but your driving 6-10 days. My dad was home every weekend.

  7. Most Australia long-haul truck drivers get paid 23 cents per kilometre they drive

  8. $10,000 per wheel. So as the truck gets bigger, so's their paycheck.
